Counsellor

About Me:

I’m Rebecca, a trainee psychotherapist at the Minster Center in Northwest London. For me psychotherapy has always felt like a calling, and after a career in publishing I decided it was time to follow that pull and begin my own training. I am studying to be an integrative psychotherapist which means I incorporate a range of styles and modalities into my practice. This enables me to honour the unique needs of each client.

What to Expect:

The foundation of any therapeutic work is a safe and trusting relationship between therapist and client, so my first priority is for us to get to know each other and establish a sense of security and trust. From here we can explore what has brought you to therapy, within a supportive and non-judgmental space.

My Approach:

As an integrative therapist I have a flexible approach which adapts to the individual concerns of each client. I draw on a range of theories depending on what feels relevant to the material that emerges. I don’t work to a fixed agenda but am client-led, working at your pace and with what feels important to you.

Area of Focus:

People can seek therapy for many reasons, from experiencing a specific crisis to a more general yearning to understand more about themselves and their challenges. My area of focus is determined by what the client brings, but I have a particular interest in childhood, attachment, and relationships.

Lets Connect:

If you feel I could be the right therapist for you, please get in touch. We can arrange an initial session to discuss how we might work together and move forward from there
