Hello, I’m Alex, a psychotherapist in training. I aim to offer a non-judgemental, empathetic, curious and compassionate space for us to explore what is important to you.
I see our work together as a creative and communal process where we increase our awareness of who we are and how we relate to others. Often, circumstances or society lead us to adapt in ways that distance us from who we are – therapy provides a space to examine these adaptive strategies and reimagine a fulfilling life.
I will give you space and listen. My integrative training means that I can adapt my approach in line with what you bring. The foundation of our work is to build a strong, trusting and confidential relationship to help you feel comfortable. We may explore your early experiences to see how this might inform your life today. We will also look at how life is for you right now – whether that’s your wellbeing, identity, relationships or anything else – and any difficulties you are encountering. I think that we are more fully understood in the context of our families, and our wider social, cultural and spiritual backgrounds.
